The Jimmy V Week for Cancer Research – a week-long initiative featuring special content across ESPN platforms and programs to drive awareness of and donations to The V Foundation for Cancer Research – will begin Wednesday, Nov. 30 and conclude Tuesday, Dec. 6 featuring two top-25 women’s college basketball matchups.
No. 17 Purdue will travel to No. 6 Duke on Thursday, Dec. 1 at 7 p.m. on ESPN3.Cara Capuano will have the call with analyst Abby Waner from Cameron Indoor Stadium in Durham, N.C.
The 10th annual Jimmy V Women’s Classic Presented by Corona Extra will be held Tuesday, Dec. 6, for the first time on the same evening as the Jimmy V Men’s Classic (from MSG). The game will feature the national champions from the last three years pitting the 2011 national winner Texas A&M against the 2009 & 2010 title holder Connecticut, at 7 p.m., from the XL Center in Hartford, Conn.
