ESPN’s College GameDay Built by The Home Depot – college football’s longest-running and most-celebrated pregame show – will make a first-time stop for the second straight week, a 90-mile trek from the University of Mississippi to Mississippi State University in Starkville, Miss., in advance of No. 2 Auburn at No. 3 Mississippi State on Saturday, Oct. 11. The weekly three-hour Emmy Award-winning show (Saturday 9 a.m. – noon) will set up at the Junction on the campus of MSU.

GameDay is hosted by Chris Fowler, along with analysts Lee Corso, Kirk Herbstreit, Desmond Howard and David Pollack and reporting by Samantha Ponder, Tom Rinaldi, Scott Van Pelt, George Whitfield and Gene Wojciechowski.

  • This marks the first time College GameDay will visit Starkville, Miss. GameDay has now originated from all 14 SEC campuses.
  • Of the 65 Power Five Schools – GameDay has now been to the campus of 50 of them. The ones we have not done a show from – Duke, Louisville, Syracuse, Wake Forest, Virginia, Maryland, Indiana, Rutgers, Minnesota, Illinois, Baylor, Kansas, Iowa State, Cal and Washington State.
  • Mississippi State is the 77th different team showcased in a College GameDay
  • Mississippi State is the 62nd different school to host GameDay on its campus. The previous 61 are 37-24 in their GameDay debut home game.
  • Lee Corso has put on headgear representing 49 different teams.
  • Lee Corso has lost each of his last two headgear picks. His last three-game losing streak was in 2009 – and capped by a loss in an SEC game.
  • Lee has won each of his last five Week 7 headgear picks. Last year Oregon beat Washington 45-21 in Week 7.
  • This marks the 16th Auburn has been involved in a game GameDay has attended. The Tigers are 8-7 in the previous 15.
  • Lee has picked Auburn six times, and Auburn is 4-2 in those games. He has picked against the Tigers seven times, and he is 4-3 when picking against the Tigers.
  • This is the 12th regular season top-three matchup from which GameDay has attended.
