ESPN’s College GameDay Covered by State Farm – the Saturday morning and evening roadshow that discusses the top storylines of the college basketball season – will originate from the campus of Wichita State on Saturday, Feb. 28, in advance of the No. 13 Wichita State vs. No. 11 Northern Iowa matchup (2 p.m., ESPN). The Shockers will be hosting the morning editions of GameDay at 10 a.m. on ESPNU and continuing live at 11 a.m. on ESPN.
The evening College GameDay show beginning at 4 p.m. on ESPN will originate from Lawrence, Kan., prior to the No. 8 Kansas vs. Texas game (5 p.m., ESPN).
ESPN personality Stephen A. Smith will join College GameDay host Rece Davis and analysts Jay Bilas, Seth Greenberg and Jay Williams for the morning editions. Davis, Bilas, Williams and Smith will then travel to Lawrence for the evening show.
Dan Shulman, Bilas and reporter Shannon Spake will have the call of the Kansas-Texas game, while Rich Hollenberg, Greenberg and Mark Adams will be assigned to the Wichita State-Northern Iowa game.
ESPN3 Surround will be available for the Kansas-Texas game, featuring in-arena natural sound and views from above the rim cameras at each end of the floor.
GameDay will originate from Wichita State for the first time, while this will be the sixth stop for the show in Lawrence (2005, ’07, ’08, ’11 & ‘13).
