 Weekly Highlights

ESPN will televise two football title games in three days this weekend beginning with the NCAA Division I Football Championship pitting No. 1 seed Sam Houston State vs. second-seeded North Dakota State on Saturday, Jan. 7, at 1 p.m. on ESPN2 and ESPN3. The extensive coverage of the season will conclude with No. 1 LSU vs. No. 2 Alabama in the Allstate BCS National Championship on Monday, Jan. 9, at 8:30 p.m. on ESPN, ESPN3, ESPN 3D, ESPN Deportes and ESPN Radio.

As football concludes, ESPN will ramp up the men’s basketball action with daily conference windows beginning Tuesday with Super Tuesday. The upcoming schedule is highlighted by:

Tip-off the week in high gear with the debut of ESPNU’s ACC Sunday Night Basketball. The pre-game show begins at 5:30 p.m. and is hosted by Anish Shroff and analyst Jay Bilas. Following the game at 8 p.m., ESPNU begins a 23-hour marathon of BCS themed programming. The following programming will originate live from New Orleans:

The Experts: Allstate BCS National Championship Edition (Monday at 2 p.m.) – Rece Davis hosts an indepth discussion surrounding the Allstate BCS National Championship with a panel of ESPN experts: Lou Holtz, David Pollack, Desmond Howard, Todd Blackledge and Mark May

Palmer & Pollack: Allstate BCS National Championship Edition (Monday at 3 p.m.) – In its second road show of the debut season, the hosts, both former BCS bowl winning players, will air their final show of the season live from Champions Square just outside the Mercedes-Benz Superdome

BCS Countdown: BCS National Championship (Monday at 4 p.m.) – Dari Nowkhah hosts a two-hour special live from Champions Square, providing the ultimate access and analysis to the Allstate BCS National Championship, and will be joined by Mike Bellotti, Rod Gilmore, Jesse Palmer and David Pollack with Tom Rinaldi, Wendi Nix and Erin Andrews reporting

College Football GameDay Corner

College GameDay Built by the Home Depot will be airing from the site of the Allstate BCS National Championship in New Orleans – Wednesday at 7 p.m. and Monday at 6 p.m.

The show will feature split sets, along with field reporting from several contributors

• ESPN College GameDay crew of Chris Fowler, Lee Corso, Kirk Herbstreit, Desmond Howard, David Pollack , Erin Andrews and Tom Rinaldi will all be on hand to provide analysis and insight
• Additional ESPN’ers on hand will be Rece Davis, Jesse Palmer, Mark May, Lou Holtz, Todd McShay, Todd Blackledge and Wendi Nix

ESPN’s College GameDay Covered by State Farm officially kicks off its eight-week Saturday morning and evening college basketball program originating from the site of ESPN’s Saturday Primetime Presented by DIRECTV telecast on Saturday, Jan. 14, at 10 a.m. from the campus of Florida State University in Tallahassee, Fla.
