College Football: Eight of Top 11 Teams Highlighted by No. 3 Ole Miss at No. 14 Texas A&M & No. 9 at TCU at No. 5 Baylor

ESPN’s college football game schedule for Saturday, Oct. 11, will include eight of the top 11 ranked teams, highlighted by two of the top five against a ranked opponent.
- ESPN will televise three of the top seven ranked teams beginning at noon with No. 1 Florida State at Syracuse. A prime time doubleheader will showcase four SEC West Division programs: No. 7 Alabama at Arkansas at 6 p.m. followed by unbeaten No. 3 Ole Miss at No. 14 Texas A&M at 9 p.m.
- ABC will provide a split national telecast of No. 9 TCU at No. 5 Baylor in a matchup between unbeaten Big 12 squads and No. 8 Michigan State at Purdue at 3:30 p.m. with reverse mirror coverage on ESPN2.
- An ESPN2 night doubleheader will kick off with Penn State at Michigan, marking only the third night game from Michigan Stadium since its opening in 1927, at 7 p.m. followed by undefeated No. 10 Arizona against USC at 10:30 p.m.
- ABC will televise the Red River Rivalry pitting No. 11 Oklahoma against Texas from Dallas at noon.

ESPN’s College GameDay Makes First-Time Stop at Mississippi State

ESPN’s College GameDay Built by The Home Depot – college football’s longest-running and most-celebrated pregame show – will make a first-time stop for the second straight week, a 90-mile trek from the University of Mississippi to Mississippi State University in Starkville, Miss., in advance of No. 2 Auburn at No. 3 Mississippi State on Saturday, Oct. 11. The weekly three-hour Emmy Award-winning show (Saturday 9 a.m. – noon) will set up at the Junction on the campus of MSU.
GameDay is hosted by Chris Fowler, along with analysts Lee Corso, Kirk Herbstreit, Desmond Howard and David Pollack and reporting by Samantha Ponder, Tom Rinaldi, Scott Van Pelt, George Whitfield and Gene Wojciechowski.
College GameDay Nuggets:
- This marks the first time College GameDay will visit Starkville, Miss. GameDay has now originated from all 14 SEC campuses.
- Of the 65 Power Five Schools – GameDay has now been to the campus of 50 of them. The ones we have not done a show from – Duke, Louisville, Syracuse, Wake Forest, Virginia, Maryland, Indiana, Rutgers, Minnesota, Illinois, Baylor, Kansas, Iowa State, Cal and Washington State.
- Mississippi State is the 77th different team showcased in a College GameDay
- Mississippi State is the 62nd different school to host GameDay on its campus. The previous 61 are 37-24 in their GameDay debut home game.
- Lee Corso has put on headgear representing 49 different teams.
- Lee Corso has lost each of his last two headgear picks. His last three-game losing streak was in 2009 – and capped by a loss in an SEC game.
- Lee has won each of his last five Week 7 headgear picks. Last year Oregon beat Washington 45-21 in Week 7.
- This marks the 16th Auburn has been involved in a game GameDay has attended. The Tigers are 8-7 in the previous 15.
- Lee has picked Auburn six times, and Auburn is 4-2 in those games. He has picked against the Tigers seven times, and he is 4-3 when picking against the Tigers.
- This is the 12th regular season top-three matchup from which GameDay has attended.

SEC Network heads into week seven of college football with a tripleheader Saturday, Oct. 11, kicking the day off with SEC Nation’s Tim Tebow, Marcus Spears, Paul Finebaum, host Joe Tessitore and reporter Kaylee Hartung in Fayetteville, Ark. prior to the No. 7 Alabama at Arkansas matchup. The set will be live from Victory Village 10 a.m. – noon, previewing the games of the day and bringing the sights and sounds of a Razorback game day.

ESPN Radio’s 15th season of college football continues Saturday, Oct. 11, as Clemson hosts Louisville in an ACC showdown at 3:30 p.m. Bill Rosinski and David Norrie will have the call with reporter Joe Schad. Also Saturday, ESPN Radio’s College GameDay will preview and recap the week’s action from noon to 7 p.m. Host Matt Barrie will be joined by analysts Brad Edwards and Trevor Matich. Later that day, No. 18 USC will host Oregon St. at 9:30 p.m.

ESPNU Road Trip Visited The Plains for No. 15 LSU vs. No. 5 Auburn

ESPNU Road Trip (Wednesday, Oct. 6, at 6 p.m.) traveled to Auburn, Ala., this past weekend for a top 25, SEC battle between No.15 LSU and No. 5 Auburn.
Highlights include:
- All-Access: ESPNU Road Trip visits with Auburn tight end CJ Uzomah, running back Cameron Artis-Payne, and head coach Gus Malzahn, each who provides insights on their own life and the culture surrounding Auburn football.
- Toomer’s Corner: Auburn’s football traditions run deep and non-more important than Toomer’s Corner, where the legendary Toomer’s Drugs, a local souvenir store known for its homemade lemonade, resides. Aubie, Auburn’s mascot, joins hosts Jordan Eichenblatt and Rayven Tirado at the famous establishment.
- War Eagle: Auburn’s famous saying is tied to their pre-game tradition of having an Eagle fly across the field before kickoff. ESPNU Road Trip visits the university’s Southeastern Raptor Rehabilitation Center to learn about the history behind the ritual.
- Tigers on the Court: Auburn is making moves on the hardwood. ESPNU Road Trip visits with new men’s basketball head coach Bruce Pearl and assistant coach Chuck Person as the their season gets underway.
- Milestone Victory: In the end, No. 5 Auburn earns a convincing victory over No. 15 LSU, which is the team’s 300th in the SEC. ESPNU Road Trip has a first-hand experience throughout the day including watching the Tiger Walk, experiencing the pregame atmosphere and roaming the sidelines throughout the victory.

ESPN Films’ award-winning 30 for 30 documentary series returns this week with “Playing for the Mob,” premiering Tuesday, Oct. 7, at 9 p.m. on ESPN. The film, which delves into how mobster Henry Hill once helped orchestrate the fixing of Boston College basketball games, is narrated by actor Ray Liotta, who played Hill in the iconic movie “Goodfellas.”
