With her 70 mph fastball, 2014 Little League World Series star Mo’ne Davis redefined what it means to “throw like a girl.” The first girl to record a shutout in the LLWS, Davis visited ESPN’s Bristol, Conn. campus this week for a Car Wash.
Now 13, she’s recently added author to her growing list of accomplishments. Her book “Mo’ne Davis: Remember My Name” shares her remarkable journey from being a young girl who just loved to play sports to rising to stardom as ESPN telecast her LLWS exploits. The Associated Press’ “Female Athlete of the Year,” Davis also was featured on espnW’s 2014 Impact 25 list.
In addition, The Walt Disney Company recently announced that development has begun on a Disney Channel Original Movie, Throw Like Mo, a biographical film that will tell her inspiring story. Davis will have a hands-on role consulting on the movie.
