Mike Tirico and Jon Gruden will be calling Monday Night Football games this season.

The NFL announced its 2012 preseason schedule this afternoon, including ESPN’s four-game Monday Night Football slate.

Our new booth team of Mike Tirico and Jon Gruden will make its official debut on Thursday, Aug. 9, in San Diego.

The ESPN schedule starts with a pair of West Coast games: Packers versus Chargers, followed by Cowboys versus Raiders in Oakland four days later, Aug. 13. Starters tend to get more reps in the third preseason game, so that pits Michael Vick and the Eagles against Tom Brady and the AFC champion Patriots on ESPN on Monday, Aug. 20. The preseason wraps with Cardinals versus Titans on Thursday, Aug. 23.

All preseason games will begin at 8 p.m. ET, and will also be televised in Spanish on ESPN Deportes, ESPN’s 24-hour Spanish-language domestic sports network.

The MNF regular season schedule is expected to be announced in the coming weeks. The kickoff game will be Monday, Sept. 10.
