It was a night to remember at Madison Square Garden on Tuesday as Duke coach Mike Krzyzewski became Division I basketball’s all-time winningest coach with his Blue Devils’ 74-69 win over Michigan State.
Making the evening all the more special was the inlcusion of ESPN’s Bob Knight in the evening’s ESPN telecast. Coach K surpassed Knight for the record and the pair’s long-standing relationship as mentor/pupil, coach/player and true friends resonated both in-game and after when Coach Knight and Coach K shared a moment courtside.
Coach K shared a few minutes with Mike & Mike this morning (audio above) and sat down with Rece Davis (video below) to reflect on the accomplishment.
