Recognized by both Latino baseball fans and players alike for his signature home run call, Ernesto Jerez, ESPN Deportes and ESPN International MLB’s play-by-play commentator, will call The 2017 T-Mobile Home Run Derby tonight (7 ET) on ESPN Deportes, to be simulcast on ESPN2. (On ESPN, Karl Ravech will voice the Home Run Derby for the first time as part of his new expanded role.)

In the video above, Jerez explains what inspired his home run call – “no, no, no, no, no, no, díganle que no a esa pelota” or “no, no, no, no, no say no to that ball” – that he expects to use several times during his 19th consecutive Home Run Derby.

ESPN Deportes’ Baseball Production Unit produced the video.
