To cap off this summer’s Intern Chronicles series, Front Row asked the 2025 intern class to describe their experience and some of their favorite things they got to work on over the past 10 weeks.
RAIGAN LYDON
Lydon is one of four Rhoden Fellows based at ESPN’s headquarters in Bristol, Connecticut this summer. The fellowship trains HBCU students as future sports journalists by having them create content for platforms like Andscape.
“My experience at ESPN has been inspiring and empowering—full of learning, real-world exposure and unforgettable opportunities to grow in sports media,” said Lydon.
VALENTINA VALENCIA
As an Experiential Marketing intern in New York City, Valencia has helped plan and execute events from start to finish, like the ESPYS Post Party.
“It was rewarding to see my team’s work come to life and be part of the process of event production,” said Valencia. “From meetings, to emails, to day-of work, every step was valuable in creating an exciting event.”
TERRANCE JONES
Jones works as a Production Ops intern in the Charlotte office.
“My experience has been amazing. I have really learned so much that I can take back to school to improve on my skills in production,” said Jones.
ANA ESCAMILLA
In Bristol, Escamilla is influential in preparing ESPN for its DTC (Direct-to-Consumer) launch as a Programming intern.
“My favorite part about my summer internship has been contributing ideas and feedback to the launch of ESPN’s new DTC streaming service,” said Escamilla. “I assist the broader programming department by completing weekly tasks to support ESPN+, working on the BottomLine, and providing an extra set of eyes and ideas.”
LAURENCE DALLAS
Interning for the Social Media team in Los Angeles, Dallas enjoyed “learning every day,” he said, especially during Game 7 of the NBA Finals.
“It was inspiring being surrounded by some of the best in the industry while growing as a creative,” said Dallas.

Jackie is a summer intern with ESPN Communications and an incoming senior at Seton Hall University, where she’s double majoring in Public Relations and Journalism. A former head editor of her college newspaper’s News section and a recent Mark of Excellence Award nominee, Jackie has also collaborated with FOX Sports University and currently serves as President of Seton Hall’s PRSSA chapter.
