FEEL GOOD FRIDAYS

Feel Good Friday Archive
Front Row is expanding on “FGF” goodness every Friday as we put our own spin on the segment by highlighting the “good” being done by familiar faces from around ESPN who are helping to make others – and themselves! – feel good. This ongoing series showcases even more ways that ESPN is #OneTeam, signifying how we are all in this together.

ASPEN, Colo. – One of the regular Friday highlights now ingrained in the noon ET SportsCenter is a segment called “Feel Good Friday.” It’s self-explanatory.

This morning, anchor Randy Scott introduced the segment explained in the tweet below.

Front Row’s “Feel Good Friday” addresses X Games Aspen, which starts today on ESPN platforms.

With X Games Aspen unable to host fans and its annual Special Olympics Unified Snowboarding event, the group looked for different ways to incorporate Shred Hate and Special Olympics into this year’s telecast.

In lieu of what would have been the seventh consecutive year of Special Olympics Unified Snowboarding at X Games Aspen, Special Olympics athletes who have previously competed at X Games will be featured throughout the telecast, issuing well wishes to previous partners and all athletes.

Also, in addition to athletes giving their thoughts on Shred Hate, X Games’ effort to ignite student compassion to eradicate bullying, throughout the telecast, the initiative will again be featured on athlete bibs and in a longer feature anchored by skier Gus Kenworthy.

In the video below, X Games Aspen host Jack Mitrani reflects on the circumstances.

X Games Aspen kicks off today at 2 p.m .ET on @XGames social channels before moving to ESPN2 tonight at 10:30 ET for Men’s Ski SuperPipe. Competition continues through Sunday on the ESPN family of networks and @XGames social channels. Visit ESPN PressRoom for more details.
