The 2016-17 NBA preseason begins tonight on ESPN with a prime-time doubleheader as the revamped New York Knicks visit the Houston Rockets at 8 p.m. ET, followed by the Western Conference Champion Golden State Warriors hosting their rivals, the L.A. Clippers, at 10:30 p.m.

As ESPN tips off a new NBA season, and its new nine-year rights agreement with the league, viewers can expect some modern visual enhancements as well.

Tonight, ESPN will debut a brand new NBA graphics and animation package. It is designed to reflect the swagger and fashion sense of the NBA players by showcasing vibrant colors, unique team branding, and a refined, tactile aesthetic.

The new design aims to place the spotlight on the stars of the show: the NBA players, NBA teams and the redesigned NBA and ESPN co-branded logo. As part of the new package, ESPN has also remixed its signature NBA musical accompaniment.
