NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell has been under enormous scrutiny following video released by TMZ Sports showing the Baltimore Ravens’ Ray Rice punching and knocking out his then-fiancée in an Atlantic City casino elevator in February. Rice has been released by the Ravens and suspended indefinitely by the league. Goodell originally suspended Rice two games for the incident, but after heavy criticism, admitted he “didn’t get it right,” and toughened the NFL’s domestic violence policies. Goodell announced a new NFL Personal Conduct Policy in 2007, and made its enforcement a priority, saying at one point, “My job is to protect the integrity of the NFL and to make sure the game is as safe as possible.” Now, with calls for his resignation, Outside the Lines examines Goodell’s future, his handling of the Rice situation and the overall effectiveness of his personal conduct policy. Host Bob Ley will examine the history of Goodell’s personal conduct policy initiative, and moderate a panel discussion with Don Van Natta, Jr., Jemele Hill, Andrew Brandt and Bill Polian.
Rakeem Cato

With a touchdown pass in 34-straight games, Marshall University quarterback Rakeem Cato is just five games away from breaking the NCAA record of 38, held by Russell Wilson, who played at Wisconsin and North Carolina State. Cato, a four-year starter, found an unlikely home at Marshall, a place far removed from the challenges and heartbreak his family endured in a hard-scrabble Miami neighborhood called “Liberty City.”

Reportajes Especiales will present the first episode of its “Mi Deseo” series Sunday in recognition of Hispanic Heritage Month. It will feature Michael Gonzalez, who dreamed of becoming a professional baseball player until he was diagnosed with melanoma at the age of 15. During his year-long treatment, he asked for a special wish — to meet Miguel Cabrera and Justin Verlander of the Detroit Tigers and live the life of a Major League player.
