November 6th marks the 150th anniversary of the first college football game.

In support of ESPN’s year-long College Football 150 initiative, Front Row will feature, over the next few weeks, ESPN Images’ photographers favorite college football pictures and the stories behind them.

The series, told through first-person audio and select images, begins with Phil Ellsworth’s recollections of the 2013 Iron Bowl game that ended with Auburn star Chris Davis’ game-winning, 109-yard return of a missed Alabama field goal, forever to be known as the “Kick Six.”

Shelby L. Lacy produced the video; Melissa Rawlins oversaw the project.
